Whirlwind Ministries
The Whirlwind is a ministry that has many outreaches. We are not affiliated with just one church but operate through the volunteers and support of many churches of different denominations. We help to feed the hungry in our community, We also have a disaster relief program and several other areas of ministry. However, our main focus is the youth. As you tour this site you may see some areas of interest that you may feel the desire to get involved in, either financially or physically. If so, first pray about it, then contact us, as we are always in need of assistance.
The name whirlwind came to me when we started the youthcenter division of the ministry. At the time, I assumed it was just a cool name for a youth center (something attractive to teens). I thought that way for about a year. Then, the Lord started showing me how a whirlwind was a force that, as it travels across the land it picks up everything in its path that isn't bound to the world and everything it picks up becomes part of it, an actual weapon. That is what we are doing at the whirlwind. We are putting together a force, uniting churches to help expand one anothers outreaches. What ever your church wants to accomplish, it will happen faster and easier when you have help.
